A significant portion of the workshop focused on the relevance of Hahnemann’s principles from the Organon of Medicine. Dr. Patel elaborated on the interview skills, perceptive abilities, and observational techniques required to become an unprejudiced observer. He emphasized the higher purpose and responsibility of a homeopathic physician in guiding patients through their healing journey with sensitivity and precision.

One-Day Seminar on Introduction to Dr. Sehgal’s “Mind Method”

Topic: Introduction to Dr. Sehgal’s “Mind Method”
Date & Time: 13/11/2025, 10 AM – 5 PM
Speaker: Dr. Vikram Chouhan, MD (Hom)
Attendees: Interns
Moderator: Dr. Mohammed Irfan

JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital organized a seminar on Introduction to Dr. Sehgal’s “Mind Method” on 13th November 2025 for the interns. The session aimed to familiarize them with the mind-oriented approach developed by Dr. M.L. Sehgal, offering both theoretical insights and practical demonstrations.

The speaker, Dr. Vikram Chouhan from Pune, is an experienced practitioner trained in the ICR system and later in the Sehgal School of Revolutionized Homeopathy (SSRH). He began the session by explaining the foundational concept of the ‘Mind’ in Sehgal’s Method, highlighting that one’s perception shapes both the inner and outer experience of life. Using relatable examples from his personal and clinical journey, Dr. Chouhan illustrated how mental states reflect in daily interactions.

He emphasized that the Sehgal Method focuses on interpreting a patient’s spontaneous expressions, gestures, and spoken words to identify the core mental symptoms that are “present, predominant, and persistent.” These expressions, when accurately understood, guide the selection of appropriate mental rubrics for remedy selection.

The latter half of the seminar featured six detailed case demonstrations. For each case, only a few key mental rubrics were sufficient to identify the correct similimum, leading to successful outcomes even in challenging situations. Dr. Chouhan also clarified differences between similar-appearing rubrics, offering precise explanations to enhance diagnostic clarity.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which interns raised their doubts. Dr. Chouhan addressed these questions with practical examples, providing deeper clarity and strengthening their confidence in using the Mind Method.

Overall, the seminar was insightful, engaging, and highly beneficial. It significantly enhanced the interns’ understanding and confidence in applying Dr. Sehgal’s Mind Method in clinical practice.
