JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital Hosts Interactive Session recently with Dr. Mangesh Jatkar
JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital organized an interactive session for undergraduate and postgraduate scholars and faculty members with Dr. Mangesh Jatkar, esteemed member of the Homoeopathic Education Board, National Commission for Homoeopathy, New Delhi.
The session,focused on educational reforms and regulations laid down by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), with special emphasis on the National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) and EXIT examinations.
Dr. Jatkar shared valuable insights on the recent changes in homoeopathic education, highlighting the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape. The interactive session provided a platform for participants to clarify doubts, discuss concerns, and explore ways to implement the new regulations effectively.
Dr. Navin Pawaskar,Director JIMS Healthcare, expressed gratitude to Dr. Jatkar for sharing his expertise, saying, “This session was instrumental in updating our knowledge on NCH regulations and NTET/EXIT examinations. We appreciate Dr. Jatkar’s guidance and support.”

Empowering Lives: Basic Life Support Training on World Heart Day
JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital and JIVA, in collaboration with CARE Hospitals, recently organized a crucial Basic Life Support Skills Training, Hands on Training session focused on Adult CPR and AED on the occasion of World Heart Day.
Led by the esteemed Dr. M. Hanumantha Reddy, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, the training aimed to empower participants with essential life-saving skills. Approximately 1200 individuals, including students from JIMS and faculty members, gathered to learn and practice the techniques of CPR, gaining hands-on experience in this critical area.
The session covered:
Understanding CPR: Importance and when to use it
Chest Compressions: Proper technique and rhythm
AED Use: How to effectively operate an Automated External Defibrillator
Choking Relief: Techniques for adults and children
Our participants demonstrated great enthusiasm and commitment, showcasing their dedication to community health and safety.

Our PG scholars, interns, and fourth-year students benefited greatly from Dr. Nanda’s expertise, gaining valuable insights into Principles of classical homoeopathy, Case-taking and repertorization techniques, Remedial selection and potency management and Practical tips for effective homoeopathic practice.

Dr. Pravas Kumar Pal, Medical Superintendent of JIMS Hospital, welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of drug safety measures in Homoeopathy.
Pharmacovigilance Overview:
Dr. Sda Rahmatunnisa discussed the history and developments of pharmacovigilance for AYUSH drugs, emphasizing the need for reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
ADRs and Homoeopathy:
Dr. Mir Mehad Ali shared insights on the classification of ADRs and adverse drug events (ADEs), including interpretations of homoeopathic prescriptions.
Legal Implications:
Dr. Syad Imran detailed the Drugs & Magic Remedies Act, discussing objectionable advertisements and their potential to mislead consumers, which can lead to self-medication risks.
Conclusion:
The program concluded with a token of appreciation for the speakers, followed by the National Anthem and refreshments for participants.

SWACCHTHA HI SEVA program at Chegur Village
JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital-NSS Unit, Shamshabad, Telangana, organized a successful SWACCHTHA HI SEVA program at Chegur Village, Nandigama Mandal on September 24, 2024.
The event, aligned with the National Commission for Homoeopathy and Ministry of AYUSH, GOI guidelines which promoted environmental conservation through:
1. Mass cleanliness drive, collecting 80 kg of plastic waste
2. Planted 40 saplings in the village
3. Swachhta Awareness Rally by forming human chain
4. Safaimitra Arogya Shivir
5. Swachhta pledge at Zilla Panchayat High School
Distinguished guests included MRO Mr. Rajeshwar, Gram Panchayat Secretary Mrs. Veena, Karobar Mr. Bheemesh, Safaimitras, NSS Program Officer Dr. Viraj Kumar, Medical Social Worker Mr. S Naidu and 40 NSS Volunteers were participated in the event.
