The event, aligned with the National Commission for Homoeopathy and Ministry of AYUSH, GOI guidelines which promoted environmental conservation through: 1. Mass cleanliness drive, collecting 75 kg of plastic waste 2. Planted 27 saplings in the village 3. Swacchta Awareness Rally with formation of human chain 4. Safaimitra Arogya Shivir 5. Swacchta pledge at Mandala Parishath Upper Primary School

When I joined JIMS Homeopathic Medical College as a regular postgraduate student, I could never have anticipated the vast array of opportunities and transformative experiences that awaited me.
JIMS boasts a well-equipped Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy laboratory supporting my academic research. The facility has provided access to essential tools and resources, enabling me to engage in meaningful research projects and further develop my skills. The institute also houses a specific laboratory dedicated to a homoeopathic pharmacy, offering a focused environment to study the preparation, quality control, and application of homoeopathic remedies. This specialized lab has been invaluable for gaining a deeper understanding of the science behind homoeopathy and strengthening my research work.
JIMS has been instrumental in shaping not only my academic career but also my personal development. The college has provided ample opportunities to build confidence and develop leadership skills, most notably through my experience teaching undergraduate students. This teaching role has been gratifying, allowing me to share my knowledge while gaining deeper insights into the subject matter through active engagement with students. It has been a pivotal experience in my growth as a student and an aspiring educator.
Visiting various botanical gardens, international pharmaceutical expos, and pharmaceutical industries across India, with support from JIMS, has provided invaluable hands-on experience that has greatly helped my research. These excursions offered a close-up look at the sources of homoeopathic remedies and the processes involved in pharmaceutical production, helping to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The insights gained from these visits have deepened my appreciation for the interconnectedness of nature, medicine, technology and research.
Prof.Dr. Pravas Kumar Pal, the Head of the Department of Homeopathic Pharmacy, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field. As a guide, his insightful mentorship has been invaluable in shaping my research and academic growth. Prof. Raghuramchandra, a department member, offers profound expertise, enhancing the learning journey with his dedication to teaching and clinical practice.
Associate Professor Dr Dharani Dass has provided crucial guidance and support for projects. She is highly regarded for her approachable nature and keen interest in student development. Her contributions to academic and research projects reflect her commitment to my success, making her a trusted mentor and advisor.

One of my most memorable achievements during my time here was securing 3rd place in a national-level poster presentation competition for Homoeopathic postgraduates all over India in 2023. This accomplishment is a testament to the rigorous academic preparation and supportive mentorship by the faculty of the Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy and the Principal of JIMSHMCH, which has continually pushed me to aim higher and excel in my endeavours.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to attend 12 national and international seminars and, webinars and many guest lectures here at JIMS presented by renowned and experienced faculty from different parts of India. Each event has broadened my academic horizons and deepened my knowledge of current developments and innovations in homoeopathy. These seminars, alongside JIMS’ dynamic curriculum, have played a key role in shaping my critical thinking skills and expanding my perspective on the global reach of homoeopathic medicine. JIMS Homeopathic Medical College has been a nurturing and supportive environment that has fostered my intellectual, personal, and professional growth. The college has equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in my chosen career path, and I am incredibly grateful for the experiences and guidance I have received here.

On September 21, 2024, the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry at JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital had the honor of hosting a guest lecture by Dr. Manasi Jatkar, Professor and Head of the Department from Dapoli Homoeopathic Medical College, Ratnagiri.
The session focused on the critical topic of “Hormones of Pancreas And its Applied Aspect” Dr. Jatkar shared her extensive knowledge and insights into the complex mechanisms of insulin’s role in maintaining blood glucose levels and its implications in diabetes management.
The lecture was attended by our dedicated faculty members from the Physiology Department, along with enthusiastic 1st BHMS students, all eager to expand their understanding of this vital subject. The interactive session fostered engaging discussions, allowing students to ask questions and deepen their knowledge.

In observance of PCOS Awareness Month 2024, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology organized an awareness programme titled “PCOS in Adolescents” on September 19, 2024, at the Lecture Hall of JIMSHMC. This initiative was held in collaboration with the Paediatrics and Community Medicine departments.
The programme began with an introduction by Dr. Maanasa Inavolu, who emphasized the significance of PCOS awareness. Dr. Manisha Thakur then delivered a comprehensive session on the pathogenesis, pathophysiology, diagnosis, management, and treatment of PCOS in adolescents.
Following her presentation, Dr. Mohammad Irfan discussed the homoeopathic approach to treating PCOS, highlighting the holistic nature of homoeopathy and presenting relevant case studies.
The event was attended by faculty members, including Dr. Kaumudi, Dr. Bhavya Shikha, Dr. Viraj, Dr. Ramya Krishna, Dr. Sudipti Singh, and Dr. Divya. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Shivani Wadhwa and a photo session with the participants.
Overall, the event successfully raised awareness about PCOS and offered valuable insights into both conventional and alternative treatment strategies.
