A field visit was organized on 16th & 19th October 2023 to Milky Plus Foods Pvt. Ltd – Milk Dairy for final BHMS students. The visit was to introduce the students to the various methods of pasteurization of milk, test conducted to evaluate the efficacy of pasteurization and to educate them about milk hygiene and prevention of milk borne diseases.
93 students visited the dairy in 2 batches along with the department faculty members.
Firstly the students were introduced to the in-charge of the milk dairy. They were taken around the plant to see how milk is collected & stored in large containers and through different channels supplied to the other units where various milk products are prepared. Students were shown the curd, favored milk, khoya, ghee processing and packaging units. Further they were taken to the milk processing unit where the in-charge explained every step included in the process of pasteurization of milk with different methods like Holder method, HTST and UHT method. Thereafter the students were taken to the laboratory were efficacy of pasteurization is verified by test like phosphate test and standard plate count etc. Students were made aware about the need for maintenance of milk hygiene as to prevent the milk borne diseases.

A 2 day workshop conducted by Moonray Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences shad nagar ( in collaboration with Syn Pharma Research Labs, Dilsukh nagar,Hyderabad), by JIMS Homoeopathic medical college and Hospital ,Department of Homoeopathic pharmacy attended on 17th & 18th August ,2023 with 4 Post graduate students,2 faculty members (Dr.Raghuramchandra, Dr.D.Dharani ).
Workshop was conducted to bring awareness about various pharmaceutical analytical techniques, Utilization of techniques in preparation and quality assessment of Homoeopathic medicines, demonstration on various analytical instruments.
On the Occasion of the World BreastFeeding Week (Aug 1st-7th) 2023, PG and Interns Orientation program was conducted in JIMS Hospital on 4th Aug 2023 to address the Students with Common Clinical Questionnaire which they can encounter in their Practise.
As a part of the Session, Surprise MCQs related to the theme were conducted, followed by Interaction on Myths and Facts, Common Clinical Problems and their Solutions were addressed under the Supervision of Dept. Of Paediatrics and Dept. Of OBGY of JIMS Homoepathic Medical College, Muchintal. Dr. Mohammed Irfan(HOD), Dr. Bhavya shikha, Dr. M.Ramya krishna, Dr. Divya participated in the Event. Senior Paediatric P.G’s – Dr. S.V.S. Vani, Dr. Fatiha Sabha, Dr. T.Likhitha, Dr.Sameera took the lead in organising the Event. Interactive Session was Fun and Enlightening.
JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital,Hyderabad,triumphantly participated in the Swasthya Ayush & Wellness Expo 2023, organised by the by Global Ayush, Health, Wellness, Food, Beauty & Tourism Expocon at Hitex International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad – 84. It was a three days Expo,from 23rd June To 25th June 2023.The proud exhibitor of corner exhibition booth & holder of maximum number of scientific paper presentations by the college teaching faculty and P.G scholar, JIMSHMCH held the light of homoeopathy high at this state level exhibition. The inaugural ceremony was presided by the Chief Guest Sri T. Harish Rao -The Minister of Medical – Health And Finance Department of Telangana, Guest of Honour Sri Mahmood Ali – Minister of Home, Prisons, Fire Services of Telangana And Special Invitees -Dr S Venugopala Chary- Ex M.P, M.Prashanthi, I.A.S- Dir Ayush, Ragam Nagender Yadav And Jagadeeshwar- Retd.I.A.S. The Governor of Telangana, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan lighted the lamp and further added the grace to the Expo.
JIMSHMCH team showcased and imparted awareness to the visitors attending the expo emphasizing upon the scope of homoeopathic medicines in primary health care. The team also stressed upon the world class facilities & the quality of education being imparted to the under graduates and post graduates, particularly highlighting on the integrative medical approach for holistic learning. The eminent people visiting the JIMSHMCH booth were-The Guest of Honor Sri Mahmood Ali – Minister of Home, Prisons, Fire Services of Telangana, also the principals from various colleges under AYUSH sector, students from different AYUSH branches. JIMSHMCH gave away kits to the visitors inclusive of first-aid medicines, college brochure, college pamphlet, key chain. More than 200 visitors showed interest in the JIMSHMCH booth & 300 kits were distributed amongst the visitors by the closing day of the Expo.
JIMSHMCH was the key participant in the scientific sessions held in the Expo having enlisted total six key note speakers. Dr Ajeya. A,P.G Scholar was awarded with the best paper presentation in the Expo scientific sessions. Principal, JIMSHMCH, Dr Nimai Chandra Dhole, was felicitated in the valedictory ceremony by the esteemed dignitaries from the AYUSH sector.
