JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital organized a seminar on 11 December 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, focusing on the Homeopathic Approach in Cardiology. The session was delivered by Dr. Aadil Chimthanawala, MBBS, MD (Medicine), BHMS, MD (Hom), PhD (Hom), a distinguished clinician and academician with expertise in both modern medicine and homeopathy. The seminar aimed to orient interns and postgraduate students about the scope and applicability of homeopathy in cardiac cases, especially its role as an adjunct therapy alongside conventional allopathic management.
Dr. Chimthanawala opened the session by explaining the wide scope of homeopathy in managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions. He shared examples ranging from simple chest pain to complex cardiac pathologies, demonstrating how homeopathic intervention can be effectively integrated into patient care. Emphasizing accurate case-taking, he highlighted the importance of building strong rapport with patients and understanding individual symptoms, particularly in emergency situations.
He elaborated on different approaches to case totality, including single complete symptom prescribing, constitutional evaluation, organ-specific remedies, and prescriptions based solely on past or family history. A key takeaway was the ESRA protocol (Exciting factor, Site, Radiation, Associated symptoms), a structured tool for understanding cases with minimal symptomatology. The session also included differential materia medica comparisons and case videos with patient testimonials, enhancing practical understanding.
The seminar was well received by interns and postgraduate students, boosting their confidence and motivating them to approach challenging cardiac cases with greater clarity and preparedness.
