JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital conducted an awareness campaign as part of Poshan Pakhwada (9th–23rd April 2026), following the guidelines of the Ministry of Women & Child Development and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The programme was organized at Anganwadi centres in Kongarkalan, Budwel, Narsappaguda, and Papireddyguda, focusing on the theme “Maximizing Brain Development in the First Six Years of Life.” Women were educated on nutrition, complementary feeding, breastfeeding techniques, 1000 days care, child growth monitoring, vaccination importance, hygiene, reducing screen time, and promoting play-based learning.
The initiative was led by Dr. Hafsa, Dr. T. Surekha, Dr. Viraj Kumar, and Dr. A. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy along with PG scholars, with active participation from Anganwadi teachers, ASHA workers, Village Secretary, and the Head Mistress of MPP School. A total of 97 beneficiaries (women and children) attended the programme, which successfully empowered mothers with essential knowledge to improve child health and nutrition while encouraging proactive care and overall well-being.
