As part of the observance of Ekta Diwas – National Unity Day commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital organized a program to foster the spirit of unity and integrity among students on 31st October 2026.
The event commenced with an introductory speech by Ms.Shreshta, third year student who highlighted the importance of the day and the invaluable contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in unifying the nation and his role as the Iron Man of India. She emphasized that unity in diversity is the strength of our nation.
Principal, Dr. N. C. Dhole addressed the gathering and emphasized that Ekta Diwas is not just a day of celebration; it is a reminder that our strength lies not in the diversity, but in our unity. He urged the students to uphold the values of unity, integrity, teamwork and national pride in both professional and personal life. He inspired the students to work collectively for nation-building and to contribute as responsible healthcare professionals towards a united and healthy India.
Students and faculty took the Rastriya Ekta Diwas pledge and committed themselves towards preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation and striving to spread the message of national integration among fellow citizens.
