Our PG Scholar Dr. V. Krishna Prasad pursuing MD PART-1 from the department of Organon of Medicine presented an acute case series on Vet-Homoeo – Aseel birds and bagged 1st prize.

Our PG Scholar Dr. Yamuna Singh pursuing MD PART-II from the department of Psychiatry presented a poster on “Where do you see Homoeopathy in the next 20 years?” and bagged 1st prize

Our students of JIMSHMC&H (PG Scholar, Interns, Final year & Sedond year) participated in the different sessions of Quiz and stood in the first place.

Our final year student, G.Thanmai grabbed third place in the Insta fusion by making a reel on different types of fears with Homoeopathic remedies.

Our students (Interns, Final year students) participated in Skit-Drug Enact and stood in third place.

Our Intern Varshitha bagged “Hahnemannian award” in the HMAT-Homoeo fest 2025

Guest Speaker, Dr. Vaibhav Jain enlightened the knowledge of Agrohomoeopathy by evidence based study and listed the potential & possibilities in the world of Agrohomoeopathy.
Poshan Pakhwada Awareness Campaign Hayathabad Village on 22.04.2025
Event 5: Hayathabad village
Participants: 15 NSS Volunteers and 2 teachers
Females were educated about 1000 days care, complementary feeding, dietary charts with special emphasis on the benefits of breast feeding for the child as well as for the mother.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under 5 yrs and from 6-10 yrs were screened for anthropometry measures to assess their nutritional status. Women were also screened for anaemia. Hb estimation was done for 19 women who presented with pallor and weakness on physical examination.

Poshan Pakhwada Awareness Campaign Kishan nagar Village on 21.04.2025
Event 4: Kishan nagar village
Participants: 10 NSS Volunteers and 2 teachers
Interactive session with pregnant females, lactating mothers and school children regarding 1000 days care, importance of hygiene and balanced diet for general well being. Pregnant females, lactating mothers and children were screened for anthropometry measures to assess their nutritional status.
Women were also screened for anaemia. Haemoglobin estimation was done for 26 women who presented with pallor and weakness on physical examination.

Department of Community Medicine – Visit to Anganwadi Centres (18-04-2025)

- Overview of the tour: The visit was to introduce the students to the functioning of the Anganwadi and the role and responsibilities of the Anganwadi workers towards pre-school education and their participation in awareness campaign.
Students were taken to the Anganwadi located at Chegoor, Keshampet and Narsappaguda (adopted villages for outreach activities) in batches. Total 87 students visited anganwadi from 15th – 17th April 2025 between 10 am to 1 pm.
In support to the Poshan Pakhwada awareness campaign the Anganwadi teachers arranged an interactive session with the children under 5 years accompanied by their mothers, pregnant and lactating women to discuss about the 1000 days care, to make them aware about healthy eating habits, complementary feeding, personal hygiene, prevention and management of Diarrheal diseases. Women were educated about the utility of poshan tracker app also.
Final year students interacted with the beneficiaries and with Anganwadi teachers. The Anganwadi teachers explained them about the role and responsibilities they shoulder in promoting good health and education to the women and children in the village.

Poshan Pakhwada Awareness Campaign Narsappaguda Village on 17.04.2025
“Event 3: Narsappaguda village
Participants: 28 NSS Volunteers and 2 teachers
Interactive session with pregnant females and lactating mothers regarding 1000 days care, complementary feeding, dietary charts, immunization and poshan tracker app.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under 5 yrs were screened for anthropometry measures to assess their nutritional status.
Total number of beneficiaries – 75
Poshan Pakhwada Awareness Campaign Keshampet Village on 16.04.2025
Event 2: Keshampet village
Participants: 32 NSS Volunteers and 2 teachers.
Interactive to educate the pregnant females, lactating mothers and adolescent girls regarding 1000 days care, role of vitamins and minerals in prevention of diseases, breast feeding and poshan tracking app.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under 5 yrs were screened for anthropometry measures to assess their nutritional status. Total number of beneficiaries – 62
Poshan Pakhwada Awareness Campaign Chegoor Village on 15.04.2025
In support of the flagship programme – Poshan Abhiyaan that aims to improve the nutritional outcomes for women and children through a holistic approach, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, NSS Unit in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine initiated an awareness campaign in adopted villages to observe Poshan Pakhwada.
The event conducted at Chegoor village on 15.04.2025, highlighted an interactive session with Pregnant females, lactating mothers and anganwadi workers, educating them about 1000 days care – period spanning from conception through pregnancy to a child’s second birth day, awareness about healthy eating habits, complementary feeding, dietary charts, personal hygiene, prevention and management of Diarrheal diseases.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers, children under 5 yrs and between 6-10 yrs were screened for anthropometry measures to assess their nutritional status. They were also educated about the Poshan Tracker app and it’s utility.
Dr T.Surekha and Dr.M. Phanesh – faculty from the Department of Community Medicine along with NSS volunteers participated in the event.
The event was attended by Mrs.Veena, Village Secretary and anganwadi workers.
Total number of beneficiaries – 51
The initiative successfully promoted nutrition awareness and motivated the mother towards monitoring the child’s health along with prioritising self care.

We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievement of our bright and dedicated students, Ms. Madha Godhadevi and Mr. Battu Tarun Sai, who have been honored with the STSH 2023 (Short Term Studentship in Homoeopathy) scholarship and certificate — awarded by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH)!
