National Youth Day Celebration Report

JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, celebrated National Youth Day on 11th January 2025, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a renowned philosopher, spiritual leader and social reformer.

Principal, Dr. N. C Dhole addressed the gathering, sharing insights into Swami Vivekananda’s life history, values, and teachings. He emphasized the significance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy, particularly his emphasis on education, self-empowerment, discipline and nation-building.

A meditation session was conducted for students, PG scholars and faculty members by Dr. Ajeya and Dr. Vijay. The session inculcated calmness, inner peace and harmony.

The event served as a reminder to the youth to adopt Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and work towards creating a positive impact in society. The celebration concluded with a sense of renewed purpose and inspiration among the participants.

Engaged 130 participants, including students, teachers, and the Head Master, Mr. Narasimha.
Fostered active discussions to empower young minds as advocates for TB awareness in their communities.

This impactful event successfully disseminated essential knowledge, inspiring students and staff to take proactive steps towards TB prevention.

The event sought to educate students about tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control, emphasizing the adoption of healthy habits.

Key Highlights
Health Education: Students were educated on essential practices like proper hand hygiene and cough etiquette to reduce TB transmission.

Community Engagement: The programme involved 100 participants, including students, teachers, and the Head Master, Mr. Devendra Rao.

Youth Empowerment: Students were encouraged to act as ambassadors for TB prevention, spreading awareness within their communities.

The event was graced by Dr. Poonam Sutar, Dr. Surekha, and Dr. Divya from the Department of Community Medicine, who shared valuable insights and guidance.
