Day 6 Community Outreach Initiative | World Homoeopathy Week 2026

In continuation of World Homoeopathy Week 2026 – “Bharatiya Homoeopathy: Transforming Traditional Wisdom into Tangible Science”, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital organized a Free Medical Camp and Screening Program for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) on 6th April 2026 at Sriram Nagar (Rural Centre).

The initiative was undertaken as part of community outreach to promote preventive healthcare and to emphasize the role of homoeopathy in managing lifestyle disorders such as Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, and Obesity.

An awareness session on the early signs, symptoms, management, and preventive measures of hypertension and diabetes was conducted by Dr. M. Phanesh (Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine), educating the local community on the importance of early detection and lifestyle modification.

The program was attended by Mrs. E. Geetha Mahipal (Sarpanch), Mrs. Sumalatha (Upa Sarpanch), Mr. Naresh Gowd (Village Secretary), along with ward members and Gram Panchayat staff.

Under the guidance of Dr. Hanamanth (Assistant Professor, Department of Practice of Medicine), a dedicated team of IV BHMS students, Interns, and Postgraduate scholars conducted health screenings, including Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, and BMI assessment.

A total of 63 beneficiaries were screened and provided with free homoeopathic treatment.

This initiative reflects a meaningful step towards enhancing awareness about non-communicable diseases and encouraging individuals to prioritize their health through preventive care and the holistic approach of Bharatiya Homoeopathy.
