A one-day workshop on “Anthroposophical Medicine: A Complementary and Integrated Approach to Healthcare” was conducted on 14 October 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM as part of the ongoing internship training program. The session was led by Dr. Wahida Murthy, Founder and CEO of Swasthyaniketan – Integrated Healthcare and Research Foundation, Bengaluru. She is a Consultant Anthroposophic Physician, Art Therapist, Biography Counsellor, and Holistic Fertility and Family Health Consultant. The workshop was attended by Dr. Srinath Rao, Dr. Mohammed Irfan, and interns.
Dr. Wahida introduced the interns to Anthroposophy and its relevance in healthcare, focusing on core concepts such as the fourfold dimensions of health, the three functional systems, the theory of life, and the principles of Integrative Medicine. The post-lunch session featured an engaging art therapy activity, which the interns participated in enthusiastically, finding it both relaxing and rejuvenating. She further emphasized the significance of relaxation techniques, reconnecting with nature, and cultivating inner awareness for overall well-being.
The session was highly interactive, and Dr. Wahida’s engaging approach kept the participants attentive and inspired. She patiently addressed all queries and encouraged reflective discussion. The interns were able to draw meaningful parallels between Anthroposophical Medicine and Homeopathy, which helped them relate to the holistic approach with greater clarity. Many expressed interest in future hands-on training, to which the speaker kindly agreed. The workshop proved to be an enriching and insightful experience for the interns, broadening their perspective on integrative healthcare.
