World Hepatitis Day is been observed at JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College. It was organised by the Department of Practice of Medicine in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine on 27th July in the college campus. One hour special lecture was organised for the 3rd and final year students. Eminent Gastroenterologist of the Hyderabad city Dr G R Srinivasa Rao from Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, was the resource person for this program.
Program started at 2pm with a small inaugural function which was graced by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Dr N C Dhole, HOD, Department of Practice of Medicine, welcomed the gathering. Principal, Dr Rajender Reddy delivered his message on this occasion. His Holiness Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji delivered a special message to the young generation regarding Hepatitis and shared his thoughts among the audience on this occasion. He also offered Mangalasasanam to everyone present over there.
Dr G R Srinivasa Rao, beautifully presented the World Hepatitis Day theme in the session. He explained regarding the hepatitis viruses, their characteristics, clinical presentations, how we can prevent and control them as well as the management. At the end he cleared all doubts regarding hepatitis among the audience. Dr Arvind Kothe, Director JIMS Homoeopathic medical College, Dr Sudhamati , HOD Community Medicine, Mr Purustham Rao garu, JIVA Secretary, Mr Suryanarayana rao garu also was present in the program. Program ended at 3.30pm.
