A field visit was organized to 6 Anganwadi centres (2 – Gudur village & 4 – Inmulnarva village) to introduce the students to the functioning of the Anganwadi and the role and responsibilities of the Anganwadi workers.  Students were taken to these Anganwadi in batches. Total 85 students visited anganwadi on 1st & 6th July 2023.

Firstly the students were introduced to the Anganwadi teachers. Every anganwadi had 15-20 students of preschool age group who were accompanied by their mothers. The mothers were educated about hygiene, balanced diet and prevention of diseases in children especially during monsoon.

Pregnant females and lactating mothers attended the session conducted by the students on ANC care, benefits of lactation, ORS preparation and hand hygiene. After the session, a lot of positive feedback was received from the beneficiaries.
