On the occasion of the 271st Birth Anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the Founder of Homoeopathy, celebrated globally as World Homoeopathy Day on 10th April 2026, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital proudly organized a “Walk for Homoeopathy” Walkathon on 1st April 2026 at Keshampet village.
This initiative was conducted in alignment with the guidelines of the National Commission for Homoeopathy, marking the celebration of World Homoeopathy Week (1st – 7th April 2026). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 3rd year BHMS student volunteers, who actively engaged in spreading awareness about the benefits of homoeopathy in disease prevention, health promotion, and the management of both acute and chronic conditions.
The program was graced by the Faculty of the Department of Community Medicine and received valuable support from local authorities, including the MPDO Mr. Ravi Chandra Kumar Reddy, MPO Mr. Kistaiah, Village Secretary Mrs. Vidyavathi Devi, Sarpanch Mrs. Santhosha Srishailam, Deputy Sarpanch Mr. Raju, EGS Field Officer Mr. Azeej, along with ward members and Gram Panchayat representatives of Keshampet village.
The walkathon served as an impactful platform to enhance public understanding of homoeopathy and inspired the community to take a step towards a healthier future through holistic healing.
