Workshop on Susceptibility & Miasms – A Meaningful Learning Experience

The Department of Practice of Medicine successfully conducted a workshop on “Susceptibility and Miasms” on 18 August 2026, with participation from 93 interns and 9 faculty members.

The workshop focused on developing a deeper understanding of susceptibility and miasmatic concepts through an interactive, clinically oriented and case-based approach. Participants explored the relationship between susceptibility, vitality, sensitivity and clinical presentation, and learned to integrate these concepts into case taking, analysis and prescribing.

✨ Key Highlights

* Interactive and case-based learning

* Understanding assessment of susceptibility

* Identification of dominant and fundamental miasmatic patterns

* Clinical correlation of susceptibility and miasms

* Application to case analysis and prescription

* Strengthening clinical reasoning through real-life case discussions

The feedback from both interns and faculty was predominantly positive, with participants appreciating the practical and clinically relevant nature of the workshop. Suggestions for future programmes included allowing more time for detailed case analysis, discussion, clarification of doubts, and stronger correlation with potency selection and repetition.
