International Women’s Day Celebration at JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital

As per the guidelines of the National Commission for Homoeopathy regarding the celebration of International Women’s Day, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital organized a series of meaningful activities to promote health awareness and women empowerment.

Day 1 of the celebrations began with a colourful Rangoli and Poster Exhibition presented by III & IV BHMS students, beautifully depicting the IWD 2026 theme – “Give to Gain.” The theme highlighted the powerful message that investing in women’s growth, education and opportunities creates a stronger and more equitable world for everyone.

During this programme, the institution warmly welcomed and felicitated the working women for their dedication and commitment at their workplace, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the institution and society. As a token of appreciation, they were honoured with flowers, badges and sweets, creating a moment of pride and encouragement.

The event was graciously led by Principal Dr. N. C. Dhole, whose inspiring address encouraged women to continue empowering society through their strength, resilience and commitment.

Adding further significance to the occasion, PG Coordinator Dr. Vishal Deshpande shared thoughtful words emphasizing the importance of recognizing women’s contributions and supporting their health, education and leadership in every sphere of life.

As part of the initiative, a General Health Check-up and Screening Programme was conducted for women belonging to the low socio-economic group, where they were screened and investigated for Lipid Profile, Complete Blood Count (CBC), and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) to promote preventive healthcare.

The International Women’s Day celebrations at JIMS will continue in the coming days with:

• Women’s health screening programmes

• Health awareness activities

• Interactive sessions with female school students through community outreach

• A special session highlighting the benefits of Yoga for women

These initiatives reflect the institution’s commitment to empowering women through healthcare, education and community engagement.

Happy International Women’s Day!
