DAY 4 – MANODARPAN 2025 | 27 November 2025

Day 4 of MANODARPAN 2025 was organized by the Department of Psychiatry, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Muchintal, highlighting the integrative approach of Yoga, Homoeopathy, and Psychology in promoting holistic mental health. The programme commenced at 9:15 AM with a soulful prayer by Miss P. Sahasra (2nd year UG) and Miss Vinya (4th year UG).

A refreshing Yoga Session was conducted from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM by Dr. G. Hepsiba and Dr. B. Mehta Gayatri. Dr. Hepsiba emphasized the importance of mental health, the role of yoga, and how thoughts influence mental well-being, demonstrating practices such as centering, abdominal breathing, breath retention (kumbhaka), Om chanting, Ma-kara chanting, and positive affirmations. Dr. Gayatri followed with classical yoga practices for mental health, guiding participants through Surya Anuloma Viloma, Bhramari pranayama, Nadi Shodhana, and Tibetan bowl meditation.

After a short tea break, postgraduate students—Dr. Ajeya, Dr. Roshini, Dr. Yamuna, Dr. Noah, and Dr. Haseena—presented insightful snap reviews of their dissertation work from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by another brief break.

From 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, Dr. Shreenath Rao delivered an enriching session on the Importance of Therapeutic Problem Definition and Therapeutic Problem Resolution in Homoeopathy. A lunch break was observed from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.

Post-lunch activities included the screening of student-made reels on mental health awareness (1:45–2:00 PM), followed by a thought-provoking role play on substance abuse by 1st-year BHMS students (2:00–2:30 PM). From 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM, Dr. V. Sravani presented a clinical case of schizophrenia with erythema multiforme, and from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM, Dr. Sudipti Singh discussed a case of OCD, focusing on Homoeopathic intervention and management challenges.

An engaging interactive session was held from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM, conducted by Dr. Yamuna and Dr. Shaheeda, featuring a rapid-fire “Guess the Remedy” activity and a personality-based flip game. Faculty members Dr. Subramanyam (HMM) and Dr. Kavya (PG, Organon 2024–2025) actively participated.

From 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM, Dr. Venkata Subbaiah delivered an insightful session on The Role of the Clinical Psychologist in Homoeopathy, and was felicitated by Dr. Shreenath Rao, Dr. Samar Chatterjee, and Dr. Subramaniyam.

Judgment for the reels competition was done by Dr. Manaswi, Dr. Sahaja Priya, and Dr. Poojitha from the Department of Psychiatry, supported by postgraduates Dr. Greeshma and Dr. B. Roshini. A posture competition was also conducted at 2:30 PM, judged by Dr. Samar Chatterjee, Dr. Chandraja C. V, and Dr. Kalyani, with event coordination by Dr. Ravali and Dr. Chandana (PGs in Psychiatry).

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Jyothi and Dr. Vishnu Bhandavi, marking the end of yet another impactful day of MANODARPAN 2025.
