On 16th September 2025, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, organized a PCOS Awareness Programme at Franklin Templeton MPUPS Government School, Kothwalguda from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

The programme featured insightful sessions aimed at educating young students on menstrual health and PCOS. Dr. R. Roja (Assistant Professor, OBGY) delivered an engaging talk on the importance of menstrual hygiene, while also addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding menstrual cycles. Dr. K. The session benefitted 30 students and the headmaster, who actively participated in discussions. Practical strategies on balanced diets, regular exercise, and mental well-being were shared to empower young girls to take charge of their health. Students were also encouraged to ask questions, making the session highly interactive and impactful.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. R. Roja, who expressed gratitude to the school’s headmaster and students for their enthusiastic participation. This initiative served as an important step in spreading awareness and promoting holistic approaches to managing Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
