St. Francis College for Women, Begumpet successfully hosted an international conference titled
“Novel Therapeutics to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance: Advancing Collaboration, Innovation and Sustainability.”
The summit was inaugurated by Dr. Joana Joseph, Principal, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration and research-driven strategies to address global health threats.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Navin Pawaskar, Director, JIMS Hyderabad, who shared valuable insights on recent breakthroughs in antimicrobial research.
The academic programme was spearheaded by the Department of Microbiology and coordinated by Dr. P. Roselin, Head of the Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Joveeta Joseph, Head of Microbiology Services, LVPEI Network, highlighted the significance of the One Health approach in combating antimicrobial resistance.
The conference featured technical sessions and paper presentations, concluding with a valedictory ceremony and distribution of certificates to participants.
