General Medical Camp & Industrial Visit organized at Kodad on 11th & 12th Aug 2018
General medical camp and an industrial visit was organized at the MAHA CEMENT FACTORY, Kodad on the 11th & 12th of Aug 2018.
The students of second and third BHMS participated in the medical camp. An industrial visit to the cement factory was organized for them as part of the field work under Department of Community Medicine.
On 11th morning the inaugural function was held in the presence of Mr. P Anantham Senior President, Operations; Mr. M Laxmaiah MCW Unit Head and Mr. C Parthasarathy, DGM HR.
After the inauguration there was an interactive session with the group. Dr. Reetha Krishnan and other doctors created awareness about homoeopathy by clearing doubts and myths of some participants regarding homoeopathy. There were about 321 beneficiaries who were benefited by the treatment and interaction with the doctors. Medical camp arrangements were done by the factory authorities and the doctors, students of JIMS were pleased with the hospitality received during their visit.
On 12th, the factory visit was organized with all the safety precautions given by the authorities. The students and staff accompanying were taken for the tour in batches. Students were given an audiovisual presentation about the safety in the beginning. Later at sight experts explained the process in detail and showed all the steps involved in manufacturing cement.
